Pre-show Izzardites meetup in NYC on 1/16 [30 Dec 2009|02:17pm] eddieizzard [ubiquitous_a] So, some folks in another online Eddie community and I are meeting up in NYC for a pre-show drinks and snackitude thing.  We're planning to meet at a pub right next to the Garden called Tir na Nog.  Figure the show starts at 8pm, so we're thinking to show up around 6 or so......that way we've got time for a few frosty beverages before heading across the street to the show around 7 or 7:30. Perhaps we can even hatch a plan to seek out whatever post-show Q&A there might be!  Something tells me a venue of that size might make it difficult. Anyone interested?  If you think you might be there, let me know so I can show up early and get us seating of some sort.   Do feel free to pass this along, and let me know if there's significant interest from other quarters so I can plan accordingly. Anyone else going to see Eddie in NYC? [22 Dec 2009|05:24pm] eddieizzard [ubiquitous_a] So, I bought a pretty darn good ticket from someone in an online Eddie group and I'll be heading to NYC to see him on 1/16 at the Garden.  Anyone else going to be there?  Might be cool to meet for drinks or something beforehand, and strategize on how to find the post-show Q&A afterwards (if there is one) at such a huge venue. I'm very geeked in that aside from the ticket itself, this trip is costing me virtually nothing.  I cashed in some banked airline miles for the ticket, and then just cause I could, decided to use nearly all of my miles to get a first class seat instead of coach!  I'm staying with some friends who live over on the East Side of Manhattan, so no gazillions of dollars for a hotel room!  This means I'll have money to spend on some cool Eddie stuff at the show. WHEEEE! Probably going to see a show or two over the weekend as well, cause I just CAN'T go to NYC and not see a show.  Looking at Bye Bye Birdie, or possibly Wishful Drinking. So, anyone else heading to NYC just to see Eddie?  Or are there other local folks who are coming out? 5 comments|post comment
